The Old Fountain
The Old Fountain is a historic landmark, near the entrance to the old town. Originally called the 'New Source', it was built in the 17th c. to supply water to the villagers and to serve as a watering hole for animals.
Archaeological Museum of Frigiliana
The museum opened in 2009 and displays exhibits relating to the history of Frigiliana, from Neolithic times to the present day. 125 items, all discovered in the town, are displayed, some dating back to the third millennium BC.
Church of San Antonio
The Church of San Antonio is situated in the centre of Frigiliana and dates back to the 17th c., with further work having been completed in the 18th c. Inside the church, you can admire a wooden carving of San Antonio. The church is also notable for its three-level bell tower.
Castle of Lizar
The castle was constructed by the Moors to defend the area in 1568 and is accessible by a steep climb up several flights of steps and narrow, cobbled pathways. While only a ruin today, it offers wonderful views over the village and sea.
El Ingenio Palast
The Palace of the Counts of Frigiliana, more popularly called El Ingenio, is today a cane molasses factory. The main façade is decorated with attractive murals and tours are available to learn about the process and history of sugar production in the town.
