Northumberland's Slaley Hall course is regularly compared to Augusta, as it has the same feel with lakes, tall trees and expanses of rhododendron bushes. This is a tricky course, known to catch out even the most experienced golfers.
The Braid Hills course is on the edges of Edinburgh in the Pentland Hills and, as the name suggests, offers rapid changes in height across the holes. The views from the course take in both the Edinburgh skyline and the Firth of Forth.
